About us
My passion for coaching actually began in my teens when I volunteered for a community project helping children to develop their practical and social skills through sport and art. In my university studies and in my workplaces, I joined schemes to mentor fellow students and colleagues; and later as a manager and then lecturer it was really important to me to be able to coach my staff and students, so they were not only happy in their current roles and studies, but actively planning and working towards their future... towards achieving the life that they really wanted to live.
I wanted to learn more, so I studied for a masters' degree in coaching and mentoring, which gave me an opportunity both to delve into a wealth of knowledge across the broad spectrum of research and practice, and work indepth with a variety of clients across society and sectors. I made the decision to open my own practice, and have really loved supporting my clients on a whole range of issues that were important to them - I love talking to them about their lives and their dreams, seeing them explore and achieve those dreams... reaching that 'woohoo!' moment. |
In achieving my dreams - many aspects of which I'm still working on - I love reading books that inspire me, listening to music that transports me, and talking to people that remind me what incredible challenges can be overcome and what amazing things are truly possible in this world. I have special people in my life that I love very much and relish spending time with, and special places I can't wait to be in, not least my busy craft room where I can delve into my myriad projects, and our evolving garden where I can spend hours completely lost in hard work and happy thoughts.
